Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026. This policy explains what information ReikiPsychics.com collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to what a reading-focused publication needs, and we do not sell your personal information.

1. Who is responsible

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message. Used to reply to you. We use Google’s Gmail service to process contact-form messages and email for [email protected]. Felicia Shepard is the only person with access to the site’s email inbox; hosting, delivery and spam-protection providers may still process messages to provide their services.
• Comments: your name, email address, optional website, the comment text, and the IP address and browser string at the time of posting (collected by WordPress to help detect spam). Your name and comment are public; your email is not.

Information collected automatically

• Server and security logs: IP address, requested pages, timestamps and browser type, kept by our hosting provider Amazon Web Services (AWS), Cloudflare (content delivery and protection) and Wordfence (security). These help us keep the site available and block attacks.
• Analytics: aggregated page-view statistics through Jetpack (Automattic) so we can see which guides are read and where readers arrive from. Jetpack is the only analytics service we use; we do not use other analytics tools or advertising tracking scripts.
• Spam protection: Akismet (Automattic) helps check submissions for spam. Spam checks can involve submission content and technical information such as an IP address.

3. Cookies

We use Jetpack analytics and no other analytics or advertising tracking services. No cookie-consent banner is configured. WordPress comment features may offer to remember information you enter, and functional or security technologies may be used to operate and protect the site. Embedded services do not send visitor data to third parties before interaction or consent. You can review, block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some features may be affected. Browser cookie controls do not necessarily stop server-side logs or information sent when you submit a message or comment.

4. Affiliate links

Some links are affiliate links. If you register with or buy from a service after following one of those links, we may receive a commission. Following an external link takes you to a separate website. Read that service’s own privacy and tracking information before registering or paying.

5. How we use information

• To publish and maintain the site and its features.
• To respond to messages and requests.
• To display and moderate comments and to detect spam and abuse.
• To measure readership so we can improve guides.
• To comply with legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure, useful publication, on your consent where you choose to contact us or comment, and on legal obligation where applicable.

6. Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us operate the site (Amazon Web Services for hosting, Cloudflare, Wordfence, Automattic services including Jetpack and Akismet, and Google’s Gmail service for email/contact-message processing), and when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our readers or ourselves. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

7. Retention

Contact-form messages are kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up, then deleted. Comments stay published unless you ask us to remove them. Security and server logs are kept for 30 to 90 days. Aggregated analytics are kept indefinitely.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to processing, to data portability, and to complain to a supervisory authority. We extend the core rights of access, correction and deletion to every reader regardless of location. Felicia handles privacy requests. To exercise these choices, email [email protected] from the address you used with us, or write to the postal address above. We will respond within 30 days and will never treat you differently for making a request.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the rights described above. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in that law.

9. International transfers

Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosts this website and stores its backups in the eastern United States (USA East). We use Google’s Gmail service for email and contact-form messages; email information may be stored and processed in countries worldwide. The other service providers described above may also process information to operate and protect the site. If you have questions about how your information is handled, contact Felicia before submitting personal information.

10. Children

The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

The site uses HTTPS, Cloudflare and Wordfence as part of its security measures. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us sensitive information such as health details, payment data or government identifiers through the contact form.

12. Changes

We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version. Significant changes will be flagged on this page for at least 30 days.
